Our Wednesday night ‘Lifesaving’ programme is designed for swimmers from the age of 8 years old who already have a good swimming ability and wish to undertake training and awards in lifesaving.

Our Academy delivers training in lifesaving skills in and around water, water safety awareness, basic first aid and life support, competitive lifesaving, as well as numerous other activities.

Our sessions are tailored to be enjoyable, fun and an alternative to main stream swimming lessons.

How to enrol?

To enrol on to the Academy must fulfil the following criteria:

• Be able to swim 25 metres competently
• Be able to tread water for 1 minute
• Must be happy in water out of depth
• No prior lifesaving knowledge is required
