If you would you like to take that first step in teaching swimming then you need to obtain The Swimming Teachers’ Association STC (B). The STC (B) enables you to teach 10 beginners unsupervised and act as an assistant teacher. You may teach larger classes or teach more advanced skills under direct supervision of a suitably qualified teacher.
This certificate provides direct employment opportunities for successful candidates, as swimming teachers, as it is recognised by most swimming lesson providers.

After successfully completing your STC (B) the next and final progression is the STC (F). It completes your teaching knowledge with further stroke practices and points, including competitive swimming, diving, lifesaving and survival skills.
